Mrs. Lillie Mae Harris Brooks, age 81, of Moncure, NC, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Duke Hospital in Durham, NC.

Lillie was born January 10, 1943, to the late Melvin Harris and Willette Campbell in Greensboro, NC. She graduated from Horton High School, class of 1961. Lillie was a sweet and gentle person. She always had others in mind: mailing cards, making calls, and preparing dishes for others. She loved children and her community. She will truly be missed by all.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband, Billie Brooks of the home; two daughters, Causaundra Brooks of Bowie, Maryland and Saundra Brooks of Charlotte, North Carolina; sister, Melvina Brim (Wayne); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
