Ms. Lillie (Reaves) Blue, age 83, of Pittsboro, NC, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 18, 2024, at her residence.

The Obituary

Lillie Reaves Blue was born on May 11, 1941, to the late Thomas and Della Reaves. On October 18, 2024, she heard the voice of the Lord call, and she quietly slipped away home.

Lille Blue, early education was in Horton High School. As a youth she attended Alston Chapel Church. After high school she attended Fayetteville State College. After college she moved to New York and was employed by Rockland State Hospital. After 30 years of service, she retired and returned to North Carolina. She loved nice clothes and dressing in style. Lillie loved to eat, as long as she didn’t have to cook it, and it didn’t have mayonnaise in it.

She was preceded in death by siblings, David Reaves; Leola Headen (Clifton); Willie Reaves (Carrie); Thomas Reaves (Delois); Emmeline Harris (Ed); Johnnie Peoples (Ada); Joseph Reaves (Lubie); Annie Dukes (Frankie) and Nathaniel Reaves (Frinco).

She leaves to cherish her memories, a son, Darryl Reaves of the home; one daughter-in-law, Anya of Livingston, NJ; grandchildren, Briana Reaves of Danville, Virginia, Kiam Reaves and Karon Reaves, both of Livingston, NJ; siblings, Mozelle Brim, Walter Reaves (Mary) of Pittsboro and Hattie Reaves Waddell (late Percy) of New Jersey; and one sister-in-law, Ernestine Reaves of Pittsboro. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
