Leon Billie Allen was born on October 17, 1946 in Lee County, North Carolina to the Late Douglas and Rosa Allen. He received his call out of this world of suffering and into his eternal home on Jan. 25, 2020.

Leon had so many names of endearment: Leon, Lee, Billie, Cup, but the one that added pep to his step and joy in his heart was “Pops”.
As a young man, living in Goldston, Leon’s memorable times were as a coach for the girl’s soft ball team and mentoring young boys and men. Leon was a very smart and knowledgeable guy who stayed abreast of events in the news both local and abroad. There was not a topic mentioned that he could not add a valuable contribution. He loved sports and was a premier pool player and bid whist player, He also loved gardening, fishing, and cooking. He was the real “Grill-master”. He was a devoted husband, son, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Leon was a believer and did not leave this world without giving his heart to Christ. He reassured his family and friends that he was not afraid of departing this life because he knew he was walking into eternity and a world of no more hurt, tears, or pain.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; three brothers, Larry, Jesse, and Timothy Allen and one sister, Kathryn Baldwin Snipes.
