Mrs. Lear Mae Womble, age 83 of Sanford, North Carolina transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, November 13, 2023.
Lear Mae McIver-Womble was born May 5,1940 in Lee County to the late William Kenneth McIver and Lillie Bell Fox-McIver. She entered into eternal rest on Monday November 13,2023, in the home surrounded by her loving family.
She worked in the textile industry for twenty years. She was married to the late James Womble.
She accepted Christ at an early at her home church Poplar Springs AME church, where she was an active usher. She later became a faithful member of Liberty Chapel Church Moncure North Carolina.
Mommy raised us in the admonition of the Lord and taught us the value of the value of having a relationship with God. She led her daughter in law Yolanda Womble to Christ. She instilled in us love and taught us that good manners would carry us further in life than money could ever. Some of mommy’s favorite activities were putting large puzzles together and doing word search puzzles.
In her past time, she would sit in front of the TV with her dip watching westerns and fussing at the cowboys and Indians.
She supported her children and grandchildren in sports and cheer activities which allowed her to travel all around the state of North Carolina and many other states.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William K. McIver and Lillie Bell Fox-McIver; son, Michael Womble; three brothers, Robert McIver, Ander McIver and William H. McIver; one sister-in-law, Laura B. McIver; two great grandsons, Baby Boy Smith and Khai Smith(twin); and one great granddaughter, Lily Smith(twin).
She will truly be missed! She is survived by three daughters, Lorrie Womble of Charlotte, NC, Lancia Robinson of Sanford, NC, and Parice Womble of Aberdeen, NC; three sons, Chris Womble of Willingboro, NJ, Ricky Womble (Myrtle) and Lance Womble (Yolanda) both of Sanford, NC; thirteen grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Tucker of Sanford, NC; one brother, George McIver of Sanford, NC, two sisters-in-law Eleanora McIver of Sanford, NC and Rebecca McIver of Greensboro, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
