She accepted Christ at an early at her home church Poplar Springs AME church, where she was an active usher. She later became a faithful member of Liberty Chapel Church Moncure North Carolina.

Mommy raised us in the admonition of the Lord and taught us the value of the value of having a relationship with God. She led her daughter in law Yolanda Womble to Christ. She instilled in us love and taught us that good manners would carry us further in life than money could ever. Some of mommy’s favorite activities were putting large puzzles together and doing word search puzzles.
In her past time, she would sit in front of the TV with her dip watching westerns and fussing at the cowboys and Indians.

She supported her children and grandchildren in sports and cheer activities which allowed her to travel all around the state of North Carolina and many other states.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William K. McIver and Lillie Bell Fox-McIver; son, Michael Womble; three brothers, Robert McIver, Ander McIver and William H. McIver; one sister-in-law, Laura B. McIver; two great grandsons, Baby Boy Smith and Khai Smith(twin); and one great granddaughter, Lily Smith(twin).
