Mr. Lawrence Murreace Jennings, age 42 of Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, January 12, 2022. 

 

Obituary

Lawrence Murreace Jennings affectionally known to his family as “BooBoo” was born on September 7, 1979 in Orange County, NC.  He departed this life on January 12, 2022.  He was the son of the late Mr. Lawrence Jennings Jr. and Mrs. Naomi Robinson.

At an early age, he attended his family church Cameron Grove AME Zion, Broadway, NC, and he later joined Body of Christ Outreach Ministries, Sanford, NC.  Lawrence was a native of Sanford, NC and was educated within the Lee and Moore County school systems. He not only received his Adult High School diploma from Central Carolina Community College, but also pursued a degree in bookkeeping and accounting.  He later realized that truck driving was his passion, and he moved out west to Los Angles, California and Las Vegas, Nevada where he acquired his Commercial driver's license. He had over twenty years of experience in the Trucking Industry, and he loved driving the big rigs.

He was joined in marriage to the love of his life, his Ruth, LaDoris on December 15, 2019, and together they enjoyed traveling all over the world. In 2019, he along with his wife established L&L Transport, LLC, in Sanford, NC. In 2021, this passion also inspired him to orchestrate Ameri Training Institute (ATI) INC, along with his friends, co-founders Keith Hackney, and Arthur Gunter.  He was dedicated to inspiring, training and mentoring young people to become a part of the Trucking Industry.  Additionally, he was actively involved in the community, well-known for his BIG and caring heart. He was dedicated to helping the next generation to become better and feeding the homeless whenever he could.   

Growing up, he loved to play football, and he even had the opportunity to play semi-pro football for The Carolina Hawks, Fayetteville, NC. He also enjoyed motorcycling and he was an active member of the Dahuru Nation Motorcycle Club in Las Vegas, NV. He also chartered and served as President of a local chapter in Sanford, NC. He was also a member of The Brothers of Sanford 101 Lodge.  Lawrence had a host of hobbies that he enjoyed which included playing lead and bass guitar, modeling, traveling, and cooking. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Jennings Jr. His maternal grandparents, Mr. Murreace and Mrs. Bernice Amerson; Paternal grandparents Mr. Lawrence and Mrs. Wilma Jennings, and his paternal aunt Shirley McCauley.

He leaves to cherish his legacy, his loving and devoted wife, Mrs. LaDoris Thomas Jennings; his parents Mr. Terry & Mrs. Naomi Robinson; bonus kids Miss Kianna Wright, Ms. Shakima and Ms. Chanelle Lawson; brothers Mr. Sidney Jennings, Mr. Terry Robinson Jr, and Mr. Joshua Robinson; sisters Ms. Ushonda Goldston, and Ms. Erica McLean; aunts Francine McLean (Kenneth McLean),  Pastor Brenda Patterson (Apostle Edward Patterson), Evangelist Paulette Jennings Brower (Pastor Tiffany Brower), Pastor Tina Barrett (Apostle William Barrett), Ms. Beverly Jennings, Ms. Tasha Jennings, Ms. Tacosha Jennings, Ms. Debra Pearson, Ms. Ruth Amerson; uncles; Mr. Ricco Jennings, Mr. Robert Earl Douglas (Evelyn Owens), Mr. Quinton Amerson (ValJean Amerson), Mr. Timothy Amerson, Mr. Joseph Amerson, and Mr. Conrad Amerson; mother-in-law Mrs. Linda Thomas; brother-in-law’s Mr. Dywanne Crump (Sharon Crump), and Mr. Kelvin Dowdy; sister-in-law Ms. Candice Thomas; God children, Miss Jakirah Moncrease, Ms. Erykah and Ms. Erianna Crump, Ms. Dominique Jordan, and Mr. Isaiah Taylor. He also leaves to treasure his memories, God siblings; Mr. Isaac Coley, Ms. Crystal Williams, Mr. Joel Frye, and Mr. Jamaul Wilson; special cousin, Mr. James “Tony Murch” Murchison, his little fishing buddy Mr. Cayden Jennings, his neighbor Mr. Jimmy Zimmerman, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and special friends that he LOVED and CHERISHED.
