Miss Latesha Joy Dolby, age 31, of Sanford, NC, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

The Obituary

Latesha Joy Dolby, born on January 2, 1994, in Durham, North Carolina, she was a radiant soul known for her spontaneous spirit and infectious, joyful laugh. She attended Hillside High School and later pursued her passion by studying Cosmetology. With her beautiful smile and vibrant personality, Latesha had a remarkable gift for lighting up any room she entered and bringing happiness to those around her.

At an early age, Latesha gave her life to Christ and was saved at Victory Temple Holy Church in Durham, NC.

She was preceded in death by her beloved father, Thomas N. Dolby, Sr.; her brother, Thomas N. Dolby, Jr.; her precious daughter, Aniyla Monae Rhodes; her fiancé, Tedmunte’ Rhodes; her maternal grandparents, Clementine Branch and Robert L. Davis, Sr.; her paternal grandmother, Catherine English; and cousins Skylar Thomas, Jr. and Jawaun Smith.

Latesha leaves to cherish her memory her beloved daughter, Emery Rhodes; her devoted mother, Robin Dolby of Sanford, NC; and her siblings: Keresa Lee (Jimmy) of Delaware, Valina Bryant (Leon) of Cameron, NC, Geramy Eldridge of New York, Marcellus Dolby of Sanford, NC, and Valerie Dolby of North Carolina.

She is also survived by her nieces: Leonna Bryant, Xana Watson, and Jamia Lee; her nephews: Ky’Jamin White, Leon’Tay Bryant, DeonDre Bryant, Jimmy Lee, Jr., Kyleon Bryant, and Khalil Lee; and her great-nephews: King Wilson and Leon’Tay Bryant, Jr.

Latesha’s loving extended family includes her aunts: Dorothea Bizzell (Solomon), Linda Thomas (Skylar), Louana McDougald (Earl), and Cintrel Marsh (William); uncles: Robert L. Davis, Jr. and Kamiyah Davis (Krystiana); her godmother, Glenda Morris; eleven cherished cousins; her best friend, Jazmine Hardnett; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Latesha’s life, though brief, was filled with light, love, and laughter. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
