Ms. Laphiffaney Shante Morgan, age 37, of Broadway, North Carolina, entered eternal rest on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

Laphiffaney Shanté Morgan was born November 28, 1987, to Sharon and Dwight Morgan.
La’Phiffaney was a loving mother, grandmother, great daughter, and a cherished friend. Laphiffaney affectionately known as "Pip" attended Lee Senior High School and got her GED from Central Carolina Community College in 2015. Laphiffaney was a "jack of all trades". She braided hair and was an exceptional writer. Pip could write stories that would grab your attention. She had written two books. Writing brought her peace and happiness. She loved her kids her family and her true friends, she would call you “Shuga“, if you were loved.
Laphiffaney was preceded in death by her father, Dwight Morgan, Sr., one brother, Dwight Morgan Jr, grandmothers, Magnolia Baldwin and Evelyn Percell, and one nephew, Rasaahn Cox.
She leaves to cherish her memories five children, Montavis, Syriah, Darrielle, Ka’hmill, and her youngest, Ny’ere; mother, Sharon Morgan; two sisters, Melissa Johnson and Katherine McCutchen (Travis); one brother, Freeman Smith; a very special friend and father of Ka'hmill and Ny'ere, Marshallret Ross; the father of Darrielle, Da'Quan Holt; one aunt, Karon Hill; four uncles, Cliff and Leo Percell and Charles and Marshall Patterson; seven nieces , Kiki ,Nana, Poohey, Jasmine, Tyra, Aria, Arianna, and Santania; three nephews, Stacy, Dee, and Jeremiah. She also leaves her trusted mechanic and father figure, Ricky Burns. Left also is a host of great nephews and nieces.
Pip is loved Today, Tomorrow, and Forever.
