Kenneth Paul Cotton, Jr. "KC" age 39 of Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, September 5, 2020 at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill.

Celebrating the life of Kenneth Paul “KC” Cotton Jr, the son of the late Lorrie McIver Cotton and the late Kenneth Paul Cotton, was born September 14, 1980 and departed his life September 5, 2020.

“KC” as he was affectionately known, received his education in Trenton, NJ and the Lee County School systems.  He was a member of Macedonia AME Zion Church and attended faithfully until his health declined.

"KC" enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He loved taking family trips to the beach.  He had the biggest heart, would give anyone his last.  He was loving, caring, always kept a smile on his face and never complained no matter what obstacles came his way.  His affectionate smile and memories will live on forever.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his sons, Kenneth P. Cotton III, and Chandler Cotton of Sanford, NC; daughters, Kimani Cotton of Durham, NC and Ke’Asia Cotton of Sanford, NC; step-daughters, Tatyana Spruiell and Arianna White of Sanford, NC; step-son, D'Angelo White of Sanford, NC; sisters, Tamika Cotton and Jasmine Cotton of Sanford, NC; brother, Tony R. Barrett, US Navy of Chicago, IL; grandmother, Geraldine Jones of Sanford, NC; uncles, Roland Jones of Sanford , NC, Charles B. Covington of Maryland, and Edward L. Jones Jr. (Betty), of New Jersey; Aunts, Jacinta “Jap” Johnson of Sanford NC, Carol Jones and Carolyn Jones of Petersburg, VA; nieces, Destyni, Kayla and Kaitlyn of Sanford, NC; Nephews, Trey and Raleak of Sanford, NC;  and a host of other relatives and friends.
