Katherine Marie Campbell “Cookie” was born on November 25, 1956, to the late Richard Midgett and Yvonne Forman in Boston, Massachusetts.
Katherine better known as “Cookie” a name given as a child was called home on Sunday, November 14, 2021, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Cookie was born in Massachusetts but was raised most of her life in Plainfield, New Jersey. She attended Plainfield Schools and graduated in 1974.
Cookie married Kenny in 1977 and from this union came Eric, Kheisha, Nicole, and Gregory. Cookie was employed at Muhlenburg Hospital in Plainfield for over 18 years. She then went on to work for PSE&G in Plainfield until the early 2000s when her health forced her to stop working. Cookie then moved to Sanford, North Carolina and made her dream of homeownership come true.
Cookie was a member of the Order of Eastern Stars in New Jersey. She was a part of the Lady Patience Lodge in Newark New Jersey. She was very social and loved many events within this organization. Cookie loved to drive and would drive fast!!! She would turn on Stevie Wonder and get in the wind. Cookie worked hard and sacrificed a lot for her children.
Cookie leaves to cherish her memory Eric (Denise) Campbell, Kheisha Thomas, Nicole Campbell, and Gregory Campbell. Grandchildren: Miriam E. McKinnis, Zipporrah McKinnis, Keturah McKinnis, Alberanz Alston, Zavier Campbell, Ayden Campbell, Kaleb Campbell, and Sebastian Campbell. One step granddaughter Quencie Williams. Great grandchildren: Rayne McKinnis, Micah McKinnis, and Alinea Marie McKinnis. Sister Natalie Jackson and brother Richard Midgett. She was preceded in death by her stepbrother Jerry. Close or far her special friends: George, Miriam, Liz, Geneva. Her best friend Leslie.
