Julia Victoria Goldston, age 71 entered eternal rest Wednesday, January 20, 2021, at her residence.
Julia "Judy-Cake" Goldston was born in Sanford NC on September 6, 1949. At the age of 12, Judy was removed from school to help on the family farm. As you can imagine, life wasn’t easy for a young woman during that time, but Judy was a fighter! She battled diabetes all her life, suffered a stroke, heart-attack, and was recently diagnosed with breast and lung cancer. Through it all, she never missed a family function and stayed ready to ride! Judy was a lifelong member of Ebenezer GATC Inc. In hard times, she found joy in cooking for family and playing her favorite game, BINGO!
Julia is preceded in death by Jessie James Goldston (Husband), Sarah Elizabeth Young-Spruiell (Mother), Hughie Edward Spruiell (Father), Mary Alice Young (Grandmother), Roy Lee Young (Brother), Trina Wallace (Sister), Edna Wallace (Sister), and Qua’John Goldston (Great-grandson).
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: three daughters: Tajuana Snipes of the home, Tiffany Goldston-Harrington (Andrew) of Cary NC and Tiosha Goldston of Pittsboro NC; three sons: Walter Goldston of Sanford NC, Christopher Griffin of Hemingway SC, and David Griffin of Sanford NC; six sisters: Alice Alston of West End NC, Doris Spruiell-Harris (Thomas (Chick) of Pittsboro NC, Sharon Spruiell-Goldston (James (JW)) of Pittsboro NC, Symetra Spruiell of Sanford NC, Cynthia Spruiell-McEachin (Donald) of Sanford NC, and Sharon Thompson Gastonia NC; one brother: John Wayne Spruiell (Gwenevere) of Siler City, NC; twelve grandchildren: granddaughters: Ursula Skyy Goldston, Latisha Goldston, Kadedra Snipes, Anaiya Maye, Alexus Patterson, Sybal McCauley, Trinity Griffin, and Aryianna Hall; grandsons: Sayvion Burnette, Titan Hundley, Kingston Hundley, Carter Harrington, Jackson Harrington, and Jacorey Allen; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and two special friends, Blanch and Louis who all loved her dearly.
