Ms. Judy Ann Lindsey, age 72 of Sanford, NC, transitioned to eternal rest Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at her residence.
The Obituary
Judy Ann Lindsey was born November 13, 1951, in Sanford, North Carolina and departed this life on May 29, 2024, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Creola Lindsey and late Hoover Perry. She was raised by her grandmother the late Lela Lindsey whom she loved dearly.
Judy attended Lee County Schools until she migrated to Boston, Massachusetts with her mother, Creola and stepfather, Charles McLean. While living in Boston, she was blessed with a son named Ronald who was the love of her life. At the age of 9 months, Ronald passed away peacefully in the arms of Jesus.
Judy moved back to Sanford, North Carolina where she rejoined the church she grew up in, Ward Memorial Church under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Wilbert McDougald. She worked many years with Allied Chemical where she retired.
Judy was fun, loving and enjoyed making people laugh. She loved gardening, cooking, listening to music and dancing. She touched the lives of everyone she encountered.
She was preceded in death by her son, mother, father, grandmother, and her siblings, Ricky McLean and Sabrina McLean.
Judy leaves to cherish her memories two brothers, Michael Lindsey of Lowell, Massachusetts and Terry McLean of Boston, Massachusetts; one sister, Diane Lindsey of Chicago, Illinois; three aunts, Mary Page (Haywood) of Pittsboro, North Carolina, Alice McCrimmon (John) and Hazelene Lindsey of Sanford, North Carolina; one uncle, Andrew Lindsey (Louise) of Pittsboro, North Carolina; a friend like a sister, Sue Chalmers Wilson; special friends, Albert (Caveman) and Verta Mae Green, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
