Joyce Kathleen (Futterer) Moshchella

Ms. Joyce Kathleen (Futterer) Moschella, age 70 of Pinehurst, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. 

Joyce Moschella left to be with her Lord on July 3, 2024. She was born on April 12, 1954, in New York and moved with her family to Tampa, Florida when she was a teenager.

She is survived by her loving companion, Bruce; her two children, Jason and Susan; her daughter-in-law, Casey; and her grandchildren, Matthew,
Chloe, and Jacob.

She will be sadly and fondly missed by her friends and family, as well as by her beloved dog, Kalie.

Joyce was a devout Christian and had an infectious, positive attitude and outlook on life. She easily made friends with everyone she met, and she will be remembered for her kindness, humor, and positive attitude.

Joyce adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with them. She also had a special connection with animals, in particular dogs. Joyce and her dog Kalie were inseparable and could frequently be found relaxing in her garden. She had a knack for growing beautiful flowers and creating incredible gardens. When she was not gardening, you could often find her reading a book, often on a boat or the shore of a lake.

She and Bruce met in Florida and moved to Pennsylvania in 2013. In 2015 they moved to Pinehurst. While in Florida, she worked as a cosmetologist and as a manager in a hardware store. Joyce and Bruce were members of Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Aberdeen.

Joyce will be interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joyce’s memory to the American Cancer Society.
