Joyce Benson Obituary

Joyce Faye Benson age 70 of Pittsboro, NC was born on July 12, 1951, to Laura and Marshall Turner. She passed away on May 9, 2022.

Joyce was a fun-loving person who never met a stranger. She was the social butterfly and an icon of the nursing home where she resided.

Joyce was preceded in death by her mother, Laura Turner; father, Marshall Turner; brother, Richard “Dick” Turner; sisters, Geraldine Dooms; and Laura Ann Jones.

She is survived by her nieces, Gail Wainio, Cindy Laisure, Tiffany Turner, and nephew, Ricky Turner, and a very special cousin, Diane Deans that was always there for Joyce.

A memorial service will be announced in a few days. It will be held at the Salvation Army Church in Smithfield, NC.
