Joseph Louis Scaffo Sr. went home to be with the lord on Thursday November 12, 2020, after his long hard fought battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife and best friend of over 20 years. His daughter Kacey Ann (Noah Stimiloski) of Florida, and his son Joseph Jr. Also survived by his parents Samuel and Gwendolyn (Bonnie) Scaffo. His brothers Samuel (Mary) of Oregon, Mike (Anne) of Franklinville and Tim of Franklinville. Many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a lot of extended family. He will be missed greatly.

Joe was a family man who loved his wife of 20 years but dealt with her for 25. They raised their two children together in Elk Township. He enjoyed taking vacations, fishing and hunting. Watching his kids play soccer and watching soccer on the T.V. Joe was an easy going person who everyone liked. His wife called him the human dictionary because he knew what most words meant and how to spell them. Joe had a very dry sense of humor that made everyone laugh even when not intended too. Humor is what got us through.

Joe graduated from Delsea Regional in 1995, and went on to obtain his associates degree in Computer Networking. He gained employment at Kingsway Regional High School in 2005 where he worked for 15 years until retirement in July of 2020.

Family and Friends can pay their respects on Thursday November 19, 2020 from 9-11 am at the Gloucester County Community Church. 359 Chapel Heights Rd. Sewell, NJ 08080. Please wear a mask and keep in mind of the social distancing.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to in Joe’s name to Heartland Hospice 1385 Chews Landing Rd Clementon NJ 08021. The kids and I are also making a memorial fund in Joe’s name. We have not set anything up yet but if you are interested in donating to that cash or checks made out to Tabatha Scaffo for JLS SR. Memorial Fund.
