Johnnie Faye Percell Small, age 68 of 214 Talley Avenue, Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest Friday, May 8, 2020 at Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC.

Johnnie Faye Percell Small, a descendant of the late Mr. & Mrs. Hugh Ellis and Evelyn Percell Morgan, was born January 18, 1952 in Lee County, NC. She matriculated through the Lee County Schools System. Johnnie Faye was united in matrimony to Paul Small of Sanford NC, and they were blessed with three children.

Johnnie Faye was employed as a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant, serving many families through their seasons of adversities.

Johnnie Faye is fondly remembered for her intense sense of humor, her honesty, her independence, and her unique personality. 

On Friday, May 8, 2020, our beloved Johnny Faye took her flight at Reid Heart Center, Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst NC bound for her resting place for all eternity with our heavenly Father.

Johnnie Faye, also known as “Cookie” by her son-in-law, was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Evelyn Morgan; her husband, Paul Small; her grandson, Nakia Bernard Foxx Jr.; and her brothers, Bryant Percell, Roger Lee Percell, and Dwight Morgan.

The treasured memories of our Johnnie Faye will be remembered for a lifetime and cherished for generations by her three loving children: Sandra Ingram (Oscar Johnson), Sharon Foxx (Bernard Sr., whom she called “her Cookie”) and Christopher Small (Maria), all of Sanford NC; her six grandchildren whom she adored: Breanna Percell, Jesenia Johnson, Victor Ingram Jr., Vincent Ingram, Naliea Foxx, and Gionni Thomas; her three great-grandchildren: Aiyonna Percell, Aarianna Ingram, and Jaden Long; her stepmother: Veronica E. Morgan of Broadway NC; her brothers: Clifton Percell and Leo Percell of Sanford, NC; her best friend, Levette Butler of Sanford NC; her sister-in-law: Sheron B. Morgan of Sanford NC; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.

The Family will receive friends at the home of her daughter at 615 W. Main Street, Sanford, NC beginning May 13, 2020 from 12Noon - 4pm only. Visitation will be held outside only.
