Mr. John Henry Allen, age 71, of Sanford, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at First Health Hospice in West End, NC.

Obituary

John Henry Allen, also known as "Mook," is one of Mary Jane Allen's three children. He was born May 19, 1953, in Sanford, North Carolina.

Mook married his lifelong sweetheart, Juanita Jones, in 1996. With nearly 24 years, he worked as an insulation installer with Insulation Installers Incorporated. Mook was one-of-a-kind, with a great sense of humor. Gone but will never be forgotten. 

Mook enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was NASCAR's and the Dallas Cowboys' biggest fan. He will be deeply missed by his family and those who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Jane Allen.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Juanita Allen; two daughters, Shenita Buie and Shanika Womack; three siblings, Hattie Petty, Robert Earl Allen, and Paul G Allen; seven grandchildren, Jaylen Womack, Ayana Womack, Ava Williams, Jada Buie, Jaquia Buie, Charley Buie, and Jade Walker; as well as nieces, nephews, and a host of other beloved relatives and friends.
