Ms. Jessie Ruth McKoy, age 76 of Sanford, NC transferred into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC.

The Obituary
Jessie Ruth McKoy, was born April 18, 1946, in Lee County to the late Elisha Hebert McKoy, Sr. and Mary Ruth McLeod McKoy. She transitioned to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 21, 2022.

Jessie Mae attended W.B. Wicker School in Sanford, NC. She worked at Siemen's Allis and Corning until she retired. She loved to go fishing and play bingo. Jessie Mae was a member of Robinson Chapel A.M.E Zion Church and attended in person until her health failed.  She loved her church family, and they loved her.

She was preceded in death by her son, Micheal Cox, brothers, Ervin Junior McKoy and Elisha Herbert McKoy, Jr.

She leaves behind her husband, Weldon McKoy; son, Marcus Cox; grandchildren, Lauren Cox, Darius Cox, Daamar Fludd and Jessica Cox; great grandchildren, Cayden Cole, Caya Cole and Cayleigh Cole, Ny'Daysha Rentz, and Ny'Jeri Rentz; great granddaughter, Nai'Vaih Rentz; nieces, Jackie McKoy and Alison McKoy; nephews, Ricky Mckoy, Craig McKoy and Jason McKoy; great nephews, Tyrone McKoy, Gilbert Jones Jr., Ricky Jr. McKoy, and Glen Reeves; great nieces, Channelle McKoy, Christina Jones, Latoya McKoy, Cece McKoy, Stephanie McKoy and Elvlyn Reeves She also leaves behind a host of great great nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
