Jesse J. McCrimmon, age 90, peacefully departed this life on July 28, 2026. He was born on September 26, 1935, to the late James Norwood and Lubbie McCrimmon.
He was united in marriage to the love of his life, Naomi C. McCrimmon, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Cathy Knight; and three children who passed at birth. Also, preceding him in death were his brothers, Thomas Norwood, Willie McCrimmon, Robert Rone and R.C. McCrimmon, four sisters Shirley Rodgers, Rev. Carrie Pugh, Marydell Currie and Helen Rone.
Jesse's life was a testament to God's continuing work in each of us. While his journey was not without challenges, he found a lasting home in his faith. After joining Mitchell Chapel Church, he served faithfully until his health no longer allowed him to do so. Those who knew him witnessed the strength of God's grace at work in his life, and he leaves behind a legacy of faith and perseverance.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his sons: Jesse Milton McCrimmon (Curtisteen), Marvin R. McCrimmon, James M. McCrimmon, and Roscoe Burnette (Lin); his daughters: Carol Johnson and Annette Williams-Bustos (Servando); his brothers: Archie McCrimmon (Annette), Oris McCrimmon (Margie), and Preston Norwood; his sister, Madeline Evans; 20 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, dear friends, and all whose lives were touched by his presence.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we rejoice in knowing that Jesse's earthly journey is complete and that he is now at peace in the presence of the Lord. His story reminds us that God's grace continues to shape our lives, and his memory will remain with all who knew him.
