Jean Lee (Cameron) Jones

Ms. Jean Lee Cameron Jones, age 72 of Cameron, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, June 3, 2022, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill, NC.

Jean Lee Jones was born on April 24, 1950 in Lee County to Luther and Mary Cameron. She was called home on June 3, 2022.

Jean was a lifelong member of Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church where she was in the choir and loved to sing. She was a graduate of Johnsonville High School and began working soon after. Jean loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren, church family, and a good yard sale.

She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty years Tony Jones; father, Luther B. Cameron; mother, Mary Lee Cameron Johnson; three brothers, Luther Wayne Cameron, Wade Bruce Cameron, and Jackie Johnson, and her brother-in-law, Donnie Jones.

Jean leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Tiffany C. Jones; son, Antoine Vincent Jones (Ashley); two granddaughters, Asia D. Brewer and Eden M. Jones; one brother, James Johnson Jr.; sisters-in-law, Terri Jones of VA, Julia Seymour of Cameron, NC and Jesse Louise Cameron of Lee County; three brothers-in-law, Keith Jones, Vaughn Jones, and Rodney Jones; a special cousin, Cassandra Johnson; a long-time friend and neighbor, Alan Hill, and a host of other relatives and friends.
