Jason Blue Upchurch

Mr. Jason Blue Upchurch, age 85, of Sanford, NC entered eternal rest on Monday, April 22, 2024, at his residence.

The Obituary

Jason was born on March 2, 1939, to the late Claude and Bethina Upchurch in Lee County, North Carolina. He was the last of fourteen children.

Jason attended Lee Elementary School. He worked several industrial careers including GKN, Lee Iron & Metal, Texi-fi Lively and Roberts company. He was also someone that enjoyed watching sports and was a North Carolina Tarheels Fan.

Jason was not afraid to tell you what was on his mind, but you knew if he loved you. If you bought him a chicken box from his favorite restaurant "KFC", you were on his good side but when he wanted it, he wanted it right then!

Everyone knew He loved his Beck and all his children and grandchildren.

Jason was preceded in death by one son, Jason Bernard Upchurch; one grandson, Casey Sellers; eight sisters; and five brothers.

Jason leaves to cherish his memory, surviving spouse, Rebecca Upchurch of Sanford, NC; one son, Randall Upchurch, Sr. (Theresa); three daughters, Cassandra Upchurch, Cynthia Pearson (Pierre Sr.), all of Sanford, NC, and Delphine Cameron Davis (Terrance) of Raleigh, NC; one daughter in law, Tangela Upchurch of Vass, NC; fifteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at 706 W Rose Street, Sanford, NC daily from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm.
