Jason Lamont Harrington Jr. was born February 26, 2003, to Kilstrin Green and Jason Harrington, Sr. at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
On June 5, 2021, Jason transitioned into eternal rest at the young age of 18.
Jason was an avid UNC basketball fan. He enjoyed watching them play, especially when they played against Duke Blue Devils with his grandmother Mary and his aunt (rival) Qushinda Green.
He attended public schools in Chatham and Lee counties. Jason was a member of New Generation Church under the leadership of Pastor Phillip Watson.
Many times, you could find Jason with his book bag filled with water and juices at the basketball court. He would be with friends, especially David Robinson. Jason’s personality was like no other. No matter where you saw him, he was always a smiling and playful young man that brought happiness to everyone he encountered.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers Queen Ester Green and Ruby Mae Lassiter.
Jason leaves to cherish his memories, his mother Kilstrin Green (Johnathan), and father Jason Harrington, Sr., brother Juwan Reaves (Krystiny), sister Tanasia Harrington (Justin Gordon). Grandparents Roger and Mary Lasiter, Diane Covington, Minister Donald Winston (Jean), and Walter Covington Sr. One great grandmother, Gaynell Hall. A niece, Zarielle Reaves. Five aunts; Qushinda and Lakeshia Green, Larekia Burch (Jeramy), Danita Eaton (Chris), and Chamagne Covington. Three uncles; Antonio Harrington (Sharon), Walter Covington (Charlene), and Donald Winston Jr. Godparents Wayne and Tonya Carpenter, Wade and Miranda Crump, Carlton and Sylvia Smith, and Demetris McIntyre; along with Gabriella Winston and a host of other relatives and friends.
