Jamie Antionette Gilmore, 43, of Sanford, North Carolina, entered eternal rest on November 20, 2025, at Duke University Hospital. Born on October 2, 1982, in Sanford, Jamie was a devoted daughter, loving wife, proud mother, and a deeply devoted grandmother whose gentle spirit touched every life she encountered.

She was the beloved daughter of Wanda Jean Gilmore and James Lee Williams, and a cherished sister to Christy Williams, Wanda Gilmore, Jessica Gilmore, and Jamese Williams.

Jamie attended Lee County High School and later worked faithfully as a cashier at Bojangles. She also had a true gift for braiding hair, using her hands to express love and creativity. Though Jamie was naturally quiet and introverted, her love was powerful. She didn’t have to speak loudly to be understood. Her affection, her calm presence, and her warm, genuine smile spoke volumes. In her silence, she expressed more love and comfort than words ever could.

Jamie shared her life with her devoted husband, Robert Fox Sr. She was a proud mother of eight children. Anthony Williams, Robert Fox III, Jonel Shamar Headen Jr., Alazie Gilmore, Rashad Gilmore, Jamie Fox, Falosade Fox, and Josiah Fox.

Her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to Jonel Headen III, Jalani Headen, ZyAir Fox, Armani Gilmore, Zarriah Williams, Kehlani Williams, and Kingston Sanchez. Her steady love and quiet strength will forever live in their hearts. She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family who adored her. Though her voice may have been soft, her impact will echo through the hearts of those who loved her. Jamie’s life was a beautiful reminder that sometimes the quietest souls leave the deepest marks. Her gentle presence and the memories she leaves behind will be cherished forever.
