James Charles Sadler, Jr.

Mr. James Charles Sadler Jr., age 75 transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at his residence.

James Charles Sadler Jr.  passed May 26, 2024, from cancer.  He has four children and four grandchildren whom he loved. He served as a public servant in the UNC University Administration for four decades. He requests to not have a funeral. Just a simple cremation. He grew up on Tuckasegee Road and members West Mecklenburg fondly.

He stated: "After navigating through various career paths influenced by family upbringing and personal interests, including a stint in law school and a transformative experience in the Army, I found fulfillment and stability in academia. Starting as a broke graduate student, I eventually rose to administrative roles at UNC, where I made significant contributions to campus initiatives and educational development. Despite the challenges and uncertainties along the way, my life's journey ultimately led me to a fulfilling retirement with my beloved wife, Anne, and our cherished daughters, surrounded by gratitude and contentment."
