Mr. James Kenneth McLean, Sr., age 60 of Sanford, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC. 

The Obituary

James Kenneth McLean, Sr. was born on July 6, 1963, to Theodora Brown and the late James Edward Petty.

He departed this life on Saturday, March 16, 2024.

Kenny graduated from Lee Senior High School. Before his health declined, he worked at Lee Brick for many years.

Kenneth was a very caring person. If you needed help with anything he was there to help. He was a very dependable person.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Petty; three brothers, Roderick Quick, Todd Brown, and Greg McLean; three sisters, Regina McLean, Monica Jackson, Muriell "Cheryl" McLean; grandmother, Kathleen McLean; and one aunt, Evenlynn McLean Reid.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Wilma Francine Jennings McLean; children, James Kenneth McLean, Jr., Eddie McBride, Monica McLean; two stepdaughters, Tameika Judd (Stewart), Danielle Jennings (Victor); mother, Evangelist Theodora Brown (Laymond); four sisters, Chanda Rice, Tonya McLean, Casey Brown, and Dana Crutchfield, all of Sanford, NC; two brothers, Jerry Dale Quick (Gail) and Wayne McLean (Norma); five sisters in law, Brenda Patterson (Edward), Paulette Brower (Tiff), Tina Barrett (William), Beverly Jennings and Tasha Jennings; a special friend, Walt and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
