James Levern Emerson

Mr. James Levern Emerson, 50, was born April 23, 1972, in Lee County to Ella Cole and James A. Emerson. The Lord sent an angel to take Vern home on May 2, 2022.

Vern attended Lee County public school. “Vern” as he was affectionately called was employed at Paint Protection Inc. where he detailed cars.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Jessie and Inell Tucker, Sallie Emerson Underwood; uncles Larry Hill, Tommy Tucker and aunt Nettie Mae Tucker.

“Vern” leaves to cherish his memories, his fiancé Amanda Peoples; children Kiera Emerson, Hailey Emerson, April Emerson, and Xavier Emerson; mother Ella Cole; father James A. Emerson (stepmom Regina); sisters April Cole, and Nikki Emerson; brothers Reginald Cole (Keshia), Jamie Emerson, and Willis Dingle (Candy); uncles Terry Hill, Walter Lee Hill, Frankie Tucker, and Jessie Tucker; grandchildren Kameron Emerson, Jayden Johnson, and Ja’mere Johnson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
