James Madison Brower

Mr. James Madison Brower peacefully departed this life at his home on Tuesday, May 10, 2022.  James was born June 24, 1959, to the late Jackson E. Brower and Mary E. Brower in Lee County, NC.  “Matt” as he was affectionately known was reared by his grandparents, the late Lila Mae and John Daniel McKoy. 

James graduated from Western Harnett High School in 1978 and joined the U.S. Army in 1980.  A retired veteran of Desert Sheild and Desert Storm where he served twenty years in the U.S. Army.  James received his Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Miller-Motte College.  James enjoyed gardening and entertaining friends and family.  Every child he met called him “Unk” or “Uncle” because that is the way he treated them with love and understanding.

James was preceded in death by his father, Jackson E. Brower, and grandparents, Lila Mae and John Daniel McKoy.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of thirty years Somjit Richards Brower of the home; mother, Mary Brower of Cameron; six siblings, Travis, Maurice, Sandra, RonFiki all of Philadelphia, PA; Tommy and Donna both of Cameron, NC; one sister in law Somjai of Thailand; Mr. and Mrs. Jimenez and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends.
