James Lewis Alston, Sr.

Mr. James Lewis Alston, Sr., age 65 of Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at his residence in Sanford, NC.

Mr. James Lewis Alston, Sr. was born in Lee County, NC to the late Mr. Hazy G. Alston and the late Mrs. Symertra Bethea Alston. 

He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tristian Sky Alston.

He was married to Regina Williams and to this union were born two children, Imani and Barkari Alston.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories one daughter, Imani Alston of GA; two sons, Bakari Alston and James Alston Jr., of Dayton, OH; stepson, Jan Michael Williams (Angela) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Juwon Williams, Jaylen Williams, Gianna, Dayton Williams, My’kia Ja’meairah, and Beautiful Alston; sisters, Sarah McBride (Bobby), Patricia Alston, Deloris Somerville (Raymond), Patricia R. Quick, and Marquetta Scott of Dayton OH; two cousins like brothers, Freeman Bethea of New Haven, CT and Henry Van Bethea of Sanford, NC; two uncles, Lewis C. Alston and James N. Alston of Dayton, OH; two aunts, Bernice Lyons of New York and Debra Paige of Siler City, NC; two special friends, Reginald Cole and Joselito Martinez, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
