Haywood Bernard Snipes

Mr. Haywood Bernard Snipes, age 58 of Cameron NC transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at his residence in Cameron, NC.

Haywood Bernard Snipes was born on January 9, 1964, in Sanford, North Carolina to Haywood and Barbara Snipes.  He transitioned from this life into eternal life on June 7, 2022, at his residence in Cameron, North Carolina.

Haywood was educated in the Lee County School system.  Later in life, he received his certification as an electrician.

Bernard aka “Brute” or “Cool Brute”, as he was affectionately called, was just that.  All that knew Brute, knew just how cool he was – never a wrinkle, never a spot on his shoes, and never mud on his tires.  He was a very loving, caring, and easy-going man, as long as you didn’t cross him.  Because if you did….OH MAN!

Bernard was preceded in death by his grandparents, the late Willie and Emma Snipes, the late George and Bessie Richmond, and the late James Malloy.

Bernard leaves to cherish his loving memories: his children, Anquwon Snipes of Pittsboro, NC, Breanna Percell of Sanford, NC, Rashaad Snipes of Troy, NY, Dante Williams of Marion, NC, Zah’Qualia Collins, Naeem Snipes, Naajii Snipes,  Aa’Seef Middleton all of Troy, NY and Alahvion  Snipes of Albany, NY; seven grandchildren; his parents, Haywood and Barbara Snipes of Cameron, NC; siblings, Merenda Brown of Cameron, NC, Stephanie McIver of Sanford, NC, Steve Snipes (Chavala) of Poinciana, Florida and Alesia Leacock (Linton) of Lillington, NC; two special nieces, Brandy Snipes of Sanford, NC and Keitric La’Dore of Saratoga Springs, NY; seven special nephews, Tyrann Snipes, Elijio Hooker, and Willis Snipes all of Sanford, NC, Marcus Snipes, Corey Snipes, Ashtin Snipes and Steve Snipes of NY; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  He also leaves a very loving, caring, and special friend, Jean Foxx.
