Glenda Cole

Glenda Cole, age 62 of Sanford, North Carolina, transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Select Specialty Hospital, Greensboro, NC. 

Mrs. Glenda Talley Cole (Sugar Mama) was the daughter of the late Daniel Pegues and Gladys Talley Pegues. Glenda was born on October 20th, 1957 in Sanford, NC, Lee County. Glenda exchanged this life on earth for one of eternal rest and peace on Thursday Morning, September 10th, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. Glenda attended the Public-School System in Sanford, NC. Glenda graduated from Lee County Senior High School in 1976. Glenda worked at Lee County Industries for 10 years and was very passionate about her work. Glenda was also a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall. Glenda had such a joyful and loving spirit. Her smile was so infectious, and she never met a stranger. Glenda would get in her motorized wheelchair and would go wherever her heart desired. Some of her favorite places to go were Sandra’s Bakery, Super 10, and Yarborough’s Homemade Ice Cream. Glenda was preceded in death by her late husband Frank Grover Cole of Sanford, NC. Mrs. Glenda Talley Cole (Sugar Mama)’s beautiful life will forever be cherished by her siblings: Otis McKay of Hermitage, PA, Clara Mclean of Sanford, NC, Tommie Pegues (Vanessa) of Hermitage, PA, Sterling Funderburk of Hermitage, PA, Danny Pegues (Mary) of Cameron, NC, and Leenora (Tina) Yarborough of Sanford, NC. Glenda also leaves to cherish her life and memory a host of devoted and loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
