Frederick Marshall Ryant

Mr. Frederick Marshall Ryant, age 66 of Sanford, NC, transitioned to eternal rest on June 26, 2026, at Duke Raleigh Hospital, Raleigh, NC.

Freddy was born on November 18, 1959, to Sampson Buie and Hattie Buie. He peacefully departed this life, surrounded by his loving family on June 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Freddy grew up in Newark, New Jersey, where he spent his early years surrounded by family and friends. As a young man, he proudly answered the call to serve his country by joining the National Guard, demonstrating his commitment to service and duty.

Freddy was a father, proud grandfather, loving brother, and friend. He is lovingly survived by his son, Terence Ryant of Virginia Beach, Virginia; his daughter-in-law, Faaizah Kelly-Ryant; and his two beloved grandchildren, Amir Ryant and Nevaeh Ryant, who brought him immeasurable pride and joy.

He is also survived by his loving father, Sampson Buie of East Orange, New Jersey; his two brothers, Reginal Buie of Spring Lake, North Carolina, and Isaiah Murry of Newark, New Jersey. His three sisters, Lynda Fay Buie of Capitol Heights, Maryland, Celestine Buie-Roy of District Heights, Maryland, and Jennifer J. Buie of Sanford, North Carolina.

Freddy was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Hattie Mae Buie; brother, James Thomas Ryant, sister, Dorthy Branch, uncle Turk Buie, Aunt Elenor Buie.

In addition to his immediate family, Freddy leaves to cherish his memories of him, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends. His kindness, strength, and loving spirit touched many lives and will never be forgotten.

Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in the memories he created, the love he shared. He is finally at peace, and his memory will forever be a blessing to those who knew him.
