Mr. Frederick Joseph Brucker, III, age 49, of Sanford, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Friday, June 28, 2024, at his residence. 

The Obituary

Mr. Frederick Joseph Brucker III, age 49, of Sanford, North Carolina, unexpectedly went home to be with his Lord on June 28, 2024.

Born on March 21, 1975, in Onslow, North Carolina, to Frederick J., Jr., and Brenda (Parker) Brucker, he was the oldest of three children.

Fred graduated from Deer Lakes High School in Cheswick, Pennsylvania, in 1993. He graduated from Eastern Nazarene college with a double Bachelor’s in Youth Ministry and Broadcast Communication in 1998. He was ordained as a licensed minister in the Church of the Nazarene on May 27, 2006.

On June 28, 2008, he met the love of his life, Kelly Reed. They were married on November 21, 2009.
He began serving as the pastor of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene, just outside of Pittsburgh, in February of 2011. There he and Kelly worked for several years.
Fred and Kelly later moved to Sanford, North Carolina. Fred continued to donate his time to the local Nazarene church and taught at Central Carolina Community College as a Broadcast Production Technologies Instructor.

More than anything, to know Fred for a minute was to know two things: he loved Jesus, and you are loved, the latter being his “calling card” throughout his life.

Fred is survived by his wife of almost fifteen years, Kelly; his parents, Fred and Brenda Brucker; his siblings, Charlene (Aaron) Richards and Rudy Brucker; and beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Nazarene Compassionate Ministries.
