Mr. Fred Warren Brown, Jr., Age 66, of Siler City, NC, transitioned to eternal rest on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at his residence.
The Obituary
Fred Warren Brown Jr., son of the late Fred Warren Brown Sr. and Doris Edwards Brown, was born on December 8, 1959. He departed on Saturday, July 18, 2026 at the age of 66. He was preceded in death by his beloved father Fred Brown Sr., and mother Doris Brown, and sister Sharon Brown.
Fred was a devoted father, Papa, brother, uncle and friend. He loved his family deeply and supported them. He was always there when they needed him. His legacy of strength, kindness, laughter, and determination lives on in our memories today and the days to come. Fred was a graduate of Jordan Matthews High School, “Class of 1978” and loved supporting the Jordan Matthews Jets athletic program. He was a dedicated Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Tar Heels fan.
He was a successful entrepreneur for over 45 years, who consistently ensured his customers were taken care of and very satisfied with the quality of his work. Not only did he take pride in his business, but also in supporting his community. A big achievement of his was to always make the annual Edwards Family Reunion an event enjoyed by all who attended, which he consistently did. Fred attended Cox’s Chapel United Methodist Church where he was a faithful member and Trustee, who ensured the church ran functionally for many years. He was also a dedicated member of the Socially United Club. Fred loved to travel, experience the world, and never met a stranger.
Fred leaves to cherish his memory; his daughter, Ciera Dixon (Chris); sister, Beverly Brown-Harris, brother, Brad Brown (Kim); granddaughters, Kendall and Karrigan Dixon; one surrogate sister Jacqueline Headen (Wade); nieces, Jasmine Johnson, Tiana Glover, Karmen Brown, Jassa Harris, nephew, Bakari Harris; great-niece, Cali Webb, great-nephew, Beau Moore, and special friends, Rayshelle Archer, and Sammy Archer (wife, Delicia and daughter, Halo). Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit lives on in the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the countless lives he touched.
