Faye "Bam" Kersey

Faye "Bam" Kersey, age 56 of 301 Church St, Sanford, NC passed on Tuesday, July, 30, 2019 at Central Carolina Hospital. 

Faye T. Kersey mostly known as “Bam” was born in Sanford, NC to the late Essie Mae Simon Kersey and Bobby Glenn Kersey from Sanford, NC.

"Bam" graduated from Lee County Senior High in 1982. She worked at Magnetti Marelli for 18 years before her health problems began. One thing that “Bam” loved was going “to the spot” or “down the road” with her sister, Barsha. If you don’t know the terms that means the internet café.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Darlene McIver.

She leaves cherished memories to her children, Curtis Beasley (Shakina), Latoris Kersey, Bobby Kersey, and Brittany Kersey all of Sanford, NC; her grandchildren, Toni Beasley, Mazari Baker, Mariah Beasley, Torian McIver, Shaunie Lucas, A’mirah Lucas and Laiya Percell; special mother-in-law, Betty Fox of Sanford, NC and special daughter and son-in-law, Tamiko Person of Pittsboro, NC and Shawron Lucas of Sanford, NC; “Bam’s” siblings, Timothy Beasley, Phyllis McDonald (David) Barsha Walker (Weldon) and Richard Kersey; god sister and brother,  Diann Solomon (Dwayne) and D’Erick Crump of Sanford, NC; three aunts, Ruby Carter of Richmond, VA, Joanne Kersey of Durham, NC and Margaret Hunter of Sanford, NC; three uncles, Redell Kersey, Ricky Hunter and Varn Hunter all of Sanford, NC; special nieces, Venita McGilvery, Barsha Beasley, Kristy White, Tamika McDougal and Tashia McIver all of Sanford, NC; “Bam” had many adopted kids and grandkids that she took in and made her own: Marsha Chandler, Kimberly Proctor, Latasha Bennett, Pricilla and Toney Thompson, and Toya Dorsett. Grandkids Rebekkah, Kenyetta, and Ezekiel Middleton, Dauris and Nakiaah Thompson, Kendrell Sanders, Savon Rollins, and Zahki Foxx; special family, Pandora Johnson “Tootsie” of Sanford, NC, Yolanda McDonald of New York, Cynthia Wiley of Sanford, NC, Brenda Snipes of Siler City, Sandra Steadman of Sanford, NC, Treesa Foxx of Morrisville, NC, Anthony Brown “Lil Bit’, Kim Richmond of Sanford, NC, Kisha Payne Alston of Charlotte, NC, Sidney Atkins of Sanford, NC, and “Al” and Joe. She had lots of great nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and a bunch of cousins from all over that she loved.
