Mr. Eunice Peoples, Jr., age 72 of Bear Creek, NC, transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, June 15, 2020 at UNC Hospice, Pittsboro, NC.
A TIME TO BE BORN
Eunice Junior Peoples, better known as “Jr.”, entered this world on September 22, 1947 in Chatham County, NC to the late Eunice Peoples and Rosa Hart Peoples. He entered into God’s Kingdom on June 15, 2020. He was the youngest of seven children.
A TIME TO PLANT And A TIME TO PLUCK That Which Is Planted On February 22, 1974, “Jr.” married Martha Craven and from this union, there was a family of four with a son, Marcus and a daughter, Eulishia. It was many years later that they decided to add to their family with Carlos, Tosha, Anthony, Justin, and Royal, thus completing their family. They also had a special extended family of Henry Fuchs, Melanie Mintzer, and children Samuel and Miriam.
“Jr.” changed from parent to grandparent when his grandson Jamie Jr was born in ’93. He would then go on to have six more; Kadejah, Shayla, Kenya, Kalig, Jayla and CJ. Then changed from grandparent to great-grandparent in 2018 with the birth of Kyrie, and 2019 with Jalen.
He always showed love, appreciation, and happiness for his family and it was his greatest joy. “Jr.” loved to sing and would sing to whoever was around. He brought joy to each and every occasion.
Labor, AS IT IS A GIFT OF GOD
“Jr.” began his Christian growth at Union Grove AME Zion Church, Bear Creek, NC at a young age. He later joined White Rock Holiness Church, Chapel Hill, NC, where he became a Deacon and served until his health declined.
A TIME TO DIE
God saw the road was becoming rougher and the hills were getting harder to climb. He said to “Jr.” “Peace Be Thyne..”. “Jr.” closed his loving and weary eyes and entered the gates of Heaven, where his wife, Martha met him with open arms. “Jr.” fought a long, courageous battle and found his rest and
rewards.
A TIME TO MOURN..
“Jr.” was preceded in death by his parents, Eunice and Rosa Peoples; siblings, Flossie, Bertha, Clarence, Milton, Mattie, and Mary; his son, Marcus; and last but not least, his wife, Martha.
