Ms. Esther (Brower) Peeples, age 75, of Cameron, NC, transitioned to eternal rest on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
Obituary
Esther Brower Peeples was born to the late Henry Ellis Brower and Mavis Onita Brower. Esther departed her earthly vessel on February 3, 2026, at the home.
Esther’s early Christian education was received at Spout Springs Presbyterian Church and later Restoration Through Christ Ministries under the leadership of Pastor Tyrone Street, and Pastor Tiffany Brower until her health declined and she was unable to attend.
Esther held numerous positions in many capacities. Her last public employment was Moen Incorporated in Sanford, NC. She retired after 30 years of service.
As a teenager and into adulthood, Esther was always camera ready. She enjoyed being fashionable and was known to many as “Queen Esther.” She enjoyed dressing for any occasion, dancing, traveling, shopping, thrifting and was known to have whatever you needed.
She was preceded in death by the love of her life, Fred Harrison Peeples; and two brothers, Henry Anthony Brower and Marvin Willis McKoy, Sr.
She leaves to cherish special memories, two daughters, Crystal Thompson (Robert) and Stefanie Ivy (Quintin) of Cameron, NC; three sons, Gerald Rollins (Renner) of Land O Lakes, FL, Kinte Rollins (Paris) of Atlanta, GA, and Fredrick Peeples of Columbus, OH; one brother, Willie Brower (Tracy); five sisters, Hattie King, Elizabeth McKoy (Thomas), Mary Pegues (Danny), Lisa Blue, and Gwendolyn Burrus (James); grandchildren, Latresha Evans, Shakesha Evans, Aneesha McLain, Ri’Caria Williams, Martin Hunter, Jr., Torrance Rollins, Samantha Rollins, Devin Rollins, Deliah Rollins, Destiny Rollins, Kinte Rollins Jr., Ziyah Rollins, Paxton Rollins, Queen-Esther Rollins, Hope-Renee Isabel Rollins; one great grandchild, Kingston Hunter; sisters-in-law, Katrina Broughton of Conyers, GA, Mary Ramey Tucker (Mike), GA; brothers-in-law, Ray Peeples of Stone Mountain, GA, Jerome Peeples, Decatur, GA, Anthony Peeples (Marka), and Wayne Peeples (Patricia) of Conyers, GA, Nathan Peeples (Keisha) of Douglasville, GA, and Ken Peeples Stockbridge, GA; special cousins and friends, Elaine Johnson, Algiareen Washington, class of 1969. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
