Ms. Ellen Margaret (Weaver) Mishra, age 78, of Sanford, NC, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 09, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

The Obituary

Ellen Margaret Mishra, 78, of Latta, SC, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2024, after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Margaret was born on May 26, 1946, daughter of Robert and Joyce Rhody Weaver.

She attended school in Memphis, Missouri and graduated from Memphis High School class of 1964. She later received her degree in nursing and years later she completed her Masters to become a Nurse Practitioner. She was a nurse and/or Nurse Practitioner for over 50 years.

She married Brajendra Mishra in 1966 and to this union three children were born.

She enjoyed traveling to Disney, quilting, reading, and nursing. She was an amazing quilter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and sister, Marti Ficke.

Margaret is survived by her four children: Meera Shinn and husband, David of Sanford, NC, Sean Mishra and his wife, Earlee of Albany, OR, Sheela Mishra-Palmer and husband, Norman of Sanford, NC, and David Mishra of Memphis, MO; one sister, Marilyn Gerdes and husband, Dean of Warsaw, IL; one brother, Danny Bowen of Arbela, MO; ten grandchildren: Michael Mutchler, Patrick Mutchler and wife Jessica, Matthew Mutchler (Melissa), Ash-Leigh Kerekes-Queener, Alexsis Kerekes, Austin Mishra, Mahari Purdy, Maleigha Purdy, Iris Mishra, and Aria Mishra; six great-grandchildren: Mike Mutchler, Taryn Mutchler, Liam Mutchler, Ava Mutchler, Stella Mutchler, and Gavin Kerekes-Queener, along with nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

An expression of sympathy in memory of Margaret Mishra may be given to American Cancer Society, (donate.cancer.org).

A memorial may be left at or mailed to Knott’s Funeral Home, 719 Wall St., Sanford, NC 27330.
