Doris is survived by her mother, Ann Brooks Wilcox of Spring Lake, NC; father, Sampson Buie of Newark, New Jersey; son, Frederick Brooks (Lorita) of Sanford, NC; two daughters, Symona Butler (Stacy Parks) of Fayetteville, NC and Nicole Brooks of Sanford, NC; four brothers, Bobby Lewis Brooks of Burlington, NC, Reginald Buie of Spring Lake, NC, Frederick Buie Ryant of Sanford, NC, and Isaiah Murray of New Jersey; three sisters, Linda Faye Buie or Washington, DC, Celestine Buie of Washington, DC, and Jennifer Buie of Sanford, NC; two aunts, Lawanda Carter (Tom) of Anderson Creek, NC, and Robin Brooks of Sanford, NC; three uncles, Harold Brooks, Tyrone Brooks (Agnes), and Angelo Brooks, all of Sanford, NC; one sister-friend, Shirley Ann Harrington; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
