Diana Lynn Stroud

Ms. Diana Lynn Stroud, age 62, of Pittsboro, North Carolina, entered eternal rest on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Authoracare Burlington in Burlington, NC.

The Obituary

Diana Stroud was born on January 11, 1963, in Queens, New York, to the late Bettie Stroud. She grew up in Chatham County and was a proud graduate of Northwood High School, Class of 1981.

Diana enjoyed life’s simple pleasures—watching movies, cooking shows, and America’s Most Wanted. She loved sitting on the porch, taking in the sights of cars and people passing by. Known for her generous spirit, Diana was always willing to help others whenever she could. She especially enjoyed volunteering with the Thursday meal program at St. Bartholomew Church.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Keshaunda Stroud; mother, Bettie Stroud; one brother, William Stroud; and one nephew, Carnell Alston.

Diana leaves to cherish her memory one brother, Timothy Stroud; her sister, Jennifer Alston; two nieces, Decie and Leighia Alston; a special cousin, Madeline Mason; her significant other of 25 years, John McSwain; one brother-in-law, Thomas Alston; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Father Brown for his visits with Diana, as well as to Sherry, Linda, and Stephanie for their support during her time with AuthoraCare.
