Devon Everette Balfour Wimbush

Before Devon Everette Balfour Wimbush, resident of Sanford NC, formerly of Colorado Springs CO, passed away on October 4th, 2021 at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital at 27 years old. Before moving back to NC, Devon attended Intelli Tech College in Colorado Springs, Colorado to pursue his medical career. Devon completed his schooling in NC where he became a Medical Assistant thereafter he was employed through Helping Hands Clinic located in Sanford NC as one of the best Medical Assistant in town.

Devon was well known for his words of wisdom and ability to make others laugh. Poppy loved kids and played a very large part in all his nieces and nephews lives. His hobbies consist of fishing for peace, shooting for target practice, taking our money in tunk and best of all Devon was a big gamer to the point he was improving his skills to be apart of a well known
tournament. Devon was also in tune with nature. He enjoyed planting, loved animals and spoke highly of Dr. SEBI.

Devon is survived by his sisters; Tonya, Joanne, Shontay, Christine, Janiece Wimbush, Amanda and Lakiya Bagley, his brothers; Larcel and Evans Wimbush, His aunt and uncle Nadine and Robert Cole; his grandfather Buford Byrd, fifteen nieces, eleven nephews, three god children an army of cousins, friends, and extended family.

Devon was preceded in death by his mother, Noreen Wimbush-Balfour, his father Evans Balfour; grandmother, Isabelle Bunn-Wimbush, Grandfather James E. Wimbush; uncle James Wimbush and other family members.

Devon's presence will be missed amongst many. From his contagious laugh to his vibrant smile. It's never a goodbye because Devon Everette Balfour Wimbush. Devon's aura will live vicariously through everyone.
