Denise (Turner) Farrar

Mrs. Denise Turner Farrar,  age 54 of Pittsboro, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford, NC.

Denise Lynette Turner Farrar (a.k.a Nessy) was born December 21, 1964, in Siler City, North Carolina.  She left her earthly home on Saturday, February 27, 2021.  She was preceded in death by her mother Mrs. Mary Dean Hayes, her stepfather Mr. Theodore Hayes, her father Mr. Jasper Turner, Jr., and two loving grandmothers, Mrs. Alene Goldston and Mrs. Nathalia Turner.

Denise graduated from Chatham Central High School, Bear Creek, NC in June 1983.  She enrolled and completed Secretarial Science at Central Carolina Technical College (now Central Carolina Community College) Sanford, NC.  She later attended cosmetology school in Raleigh, NC where she graduated #1 in her class.  Even though Denise never worked as a cosmetologist, she loved styling hair for others.

Denise joined Roberts Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at a young age and was very active.  She served as Secretary of Sunday School for many years, she was a member of the Young Adult Choir, The Young Adult Missionary Circle, and The Young Adult Usher Board.  Denise also assisted with and participated in The Lightway Ministry (Senior Day).  Denise loved cooking and occasionally would assist the Food Service Committee.

Neesy was kindhearted and often gave to others when she did not have much to give. Neesy had the opportunity to travel with her family, and being young at heart, always added some excitement to the trips.

She leaves to honor her memory:  a spouse Joe Farrar, Pittsboro, NC; two aunts, Helena Hooker (William) and Delphine Womack (James) Goldston, NC; two uncles, Billy Goldston, Goldston, NC and Timothy Goldston (Mary) Raleigh, NC and a host of cousins and friends.
