Demetrius Lamont Williams

Mr. Demetrius Lamont Williams, age 44, of Sanford, NC, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at his residence.

Demetrius Lamont Williams, known by most as “Meat” was born June 25, 1978, in Fayetteville, NC to Alice  McLean Williams and James Stevenson. Also his God Mother Dorothy Robinson of  Fayetteville NC.

He attended  Cumberland and Moore County schools. Upon graduation, he furthered his education gaining certifications in Brick Masonry, Rehabilitation Specialist, and Commercial Drivers License. He was an entrepreneur and was the proud owner of  A Van & A Vision LLC. Demetrius was loved by many he had a huge heart and would help anyone in need. He had a smile that would brighten up anyone’s day. He was the true meaning of love and he loved to give hugs.

Demetrius loved his mother and he loved his children unconditionally, he lived for his children. He has a bond with each and every one of his nieces and nephews. Demetrius and his siblings also love each other unconditionally.

Demetrius was preceded in death by his son Demetrius Jr., grandmother Margaret McLean-McLeod brothers Herbert Williams and Travis Stevenson sister Alicia Williams and best friend Jamall Myers

Demetrius leaves to cherish his precious memories, children (Shakeia) Lametrius, JayKel, Shanaa, and Casual, (Delaine)Shakim, Malachi, and Messiah,(Rasheen)Vinson, (Cierra)Miamora, Sinara, and Kentrelle (Chantay)Avery and Arianna. Mother Alice McLean Williams, father James Stevenson, brothers Guy Williams (Mercy), Isaac Williams (Tara) Jamie Stevenson, Joseph Stevenson sisters Marie Williams, Miriam Hodges (Edward) Bonita Williams, and Jinitza Daniels. His beloved grandchild Mahzan; best friends, Xavier Johnson, Terry McKendall,  and a host of many more as well as an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

He will forever be remembered and always loved.
