Demetrius Quante' Morrison

Mr. Demetrius Quante' Morrison, age 45, of Hope Mills, NC, transitioned to eternal rest on Sunday, February 8, 2026, in Raleigh, NC.

Demetrius was born October 7, 1980, in Sanford, NC to Rachel Ann Hooker and the late Larry Quenton Hooker.

He played recreation football in Lee County and loved spending time with his siblings. He attended Lee County High School in 1995, Sanford, NC, as well as Fayetteville, NC, and Raleigh, NC.  He loved football and basketball. He enjoyed just being around good friends and family. Demetrius was a loving and caring son, brother, uncle, and grandson.  He loved to laugh and just have a great time.  His smile and laughter always brightened up the room.  He had a pure heart and would do anything to help if he could.  He was a survivor and able to withstand any obstacles that came his way.

He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Quenton Hooker.

He is survived by his mother, Rachel A. Hooker of Sanford, NC; brothers, Jonel S. Headen of Sanford, NC, and Latroy D. Hooker of Hope Mills, NC; sisters, Angie of Vass, NC, Stephanie of Cameron, NC, and Natalie Hooker of Sanford, NC; nieces and nephews, Janiya Headen, Jonel S. Headen, Jr., Lakarya Hooker (KayKay), Navaeh Hooker, Nadia Hooker, and a host of cousins, uncles, and aunts.
