Mr. David Sanders, age 51, transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday, January 16, 2022, at his residence in Sanford, NC.
David Sanders fondly known to his family as "Fooie", was given to Fred and Gracie Sanders on October 10, 1970, at Riverside Hospital in Connecticut.
David was soft-spoken and timid as a child, he often battled illness. As David came into his manhood, he became more outspoken and eager to be helpful and he was fun filled. He loved family get togethers. On those occasions he was our own personal DJ, being that he loved music he always set the mood. Along with spending time with family playing Spades and board games, he enjoyed just family being together, that brought him happiness and peace. He was always joking around and making people laugh and smile. David did not mind breaking out with a song or doing something to make you laugh. Most of all he loved to assign his nieces and nephews a nickname to fit their personality, that really brought him joy.
David loved all types of music especially the Ole R & B but mostly Romantic songs he picked and used to help him smooth talk ladies.
David worked a few different jobs but Save-A-Lot and Pizza Hut where his favorite places to work. He worked a few other places over the years, but his health issues did not allow him to work long at a time. He loved working and gave it all he had.
"Fooie" was quiet person most of the time he did things a quiet person would do. Fishing was one of his most favorite hobbies along with playing his Xbox games for hours on end. He really got into watching his favorite teams play ball the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Carolina Panthers, and the UNC Tar Heels which remain his teams throughout his whole entire life.
He was known for wearing his caps and also for wearing a pic or a comb in his hair.
David was a person that cared about unity and togetherness, especially with family and friends. He cared about closeness with anyone especially his kin. David was close to anyone who would let him be.
"Fooie" was a lover of love.
David was preceded in his journey by his father Fred Sanders both parental grandparents and maternal grandparents Eula Rollins and Albert Moore, his brother-in-law, Laverne Weatherly along with Aunts and Uncles Cousins and Friends that he cares for dearly.
Memories of David "Fooie" Sanders are to be held and cherished by his loving and attentive mother Gracie Sanders Palmer; his son, Michael Sanders McCrimmon; two sisters, Eleanor Weatherly and Leasia McDougald; three brothers, Christopher McDougald, Fredrick Sanders (Erica) and Carl Rogers.
David's family is filled with several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends which are too numerous to name but will never forget him.
OUR LOVE GOES WITH HIM NOW AND FOREVER. HE WILL STAY IN OUR HEARTS.
