Darrell Mitchell

Darrell Mitchell, age 53 of 2993 Blackstone Road, Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest Tuesday, November 10, 2020, at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.

Darrell Mitchell was born on December 1st, 1966 in Morton Hospital in New York, NY.  He was 53 when he gained his angel wings on November 10, 2020 at 12 pm.  He graduated from Tart High in the Bronx where he was raised.

Darrell loved his tik-tok, wrestling, looking at his favorite shows, Maury and NCIS.  He also loved helping people.  He worked as a truck driver, production worker and mail sorter on Wall Street.  He loved making people laugh and brought light into the room whenever he walked in.  He was a loving father and caring Husband.  He always said he felt great like Tony the Tiger.

He is preceded in death by his mom, Bettie Mitchell, sister Carolyn Mitchell and his favorite niece, Cheniqua Silva.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Kasandrae; his four kids, Guneivere, Mieesha (Lindsay) Rollins, Andrew (Acedes) Smith and Jasmine; one grandson on the way. He also loved his three step children, Brittany, Brandy and Tiffany.  He is also survived by his father, William Bell, his brothers and sisters, Judy Coleman, Richard Mitchell, Patrick Mitchell, Kim Mitchell, Juanita Mitchell, Shedia Robertson, Jermaine Mitchell, Janelle Mitchell and his best friend / brother, Lamont Jordon.  A host of nieces and nephews.  His only goddaughter, Emery Godfrey and his companion, Lucky the dog.

He will be greatly missed and loved by everyone that knew him.
