Daisy Louise Denny

Mrs. Daisy Louise Taylor McClinton Denny

Daisy Louise Taylor was born on August 10, 1935, in Moncure, North Carolina, to the late Hal Sr. and Daisy Womble Taylor. She was the eighth of their nine children and was affectionately known by family and friends as "Wimp" or "Wimpy".  She graduated from Horton High School with the Class of 1955.

Daisy was first united in marriage to Willie McClinton, Sr., and to this union several beloved children were born. Later, she married Robert Louis Denny. On Friday, July 17, 2026, Daisy peacefully entered her heavenly rest at her residence, surrounded by the love of her family. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Willie McClinton, Sr. and Robert Louis Denny; her cherished daughter, Daphne M. Gee; her parents; and her seven siblings: George Taylor, Mildred Taylor, Hal Taylor Jr., Jessie Taylor, Elizabeth Taylor, William Taylor, and Lilliar Taylor.

 Daisy leaves a legacy of love and devotion to be cherished by her children:Corledia M. Burnette (Wilbert T.), Willie McClinton Jr. (Grace), Charell Harper, Chiquita D. Farrar (Charles), and her grandson whom she lovingly raised, Robert L. McClinton (Tesia). She also leaves her former sons-in-law, William Gee, Bernard Leach and Wilbert Harper.

She was blessed with thirteen grandchildren: Robert L. McClinton (Tesia), Jermaine Stanley, Jasmine Gee, Jason Gee (Angela), Tiffany Gee, Natalie McClinton, Melanie McClinton, Kevin Keith (Alexandra), Christian Farrar, Stephanie McClinton, Christopher Harper (Courtney), Candace Cunningham (Colin), and Joshua Harper.

Her legacy continues through her twelve great-grandchildren: Jaylon McClinton, Taylor McClinton, Asa Morrison, Kaylen McClinton, Jasir, William,Isabelle, Jaxson, Daizie-Jrue, Stourie-Jones, Emeran, and Ezren.

She also leaves to cherish her memory her brother-in-law, Harold Denny; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and her beloved bonus family: Bryan, Morgan, Adyson, Luke, and Lincoln.

Daisy was a dedicated and hardworking woman. She was employed by UNC Hospital, where she faithfully served as a Surgical Technician, and later by Webster's Cleaners in Chapel Hill. She was admired by coworkers and friends for her strong work ethic, dependability, and kind spirit.

While Daisy was devoted to her work, her greatest passion was serving the Lord. As the Mother of the Church at Pittsboro Church of God, she faithfully dedicated her life to ministry and service. Throughout the years, she servedas church custodian, usher, choir member, Missionary Board member, a assisted in the serving of Holy Communion. Blessed with the gift of hospitality, Sister Daisy lovingly prepared meals for church events, opened her home for prayer meetings and choir rehearsals, and graciously welcomed visiting evangelists during revival services. Her home was
always a place of warmth, fellowship, encouragement, and Christian love.

To know Daisy was to experience unwavering faith, genuine kindness, and unconditional love. She believed that serving others was one of life's greatest callings, and she demonstrated that belief every day through her actions, generosity, and steadfast devotion to God and her family. Sister Daisy often lived by the simple yet powerful declaration:

"I AM LIVING TO LIVE AGAIN."

These words reflected her unshakable faith in Jesus Christ and her confident hope of eternal life. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacyof faith, love, service, and hospitality will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know her.
