Mr. DaVontay Malik Soils, age 29, of Sanford, NC entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at his residence.
The Obituary
DaVontay was born in Chapel Hill, NC, to Loria Soils and Rodney Soils of Cameron, NC.
He was a graduate of Lee County High School.
DaVontay loved music, and wrote songs for years, up until his passing. He played videos games in his past time. He loved his family and friends with every fiber of his being. He was almost always smiling, and it could light up your day just seeing it. He would do anything he could for anyone.
He married Kiersten Soils of Sanford, NC, on August 8, 2019.
DaVontay was preceded in death by Mary Gamble Collins, Jesse Soils, and Haywood Melvin.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Kiersten (Oakley) Soils; parents, Loria Soils and Rodney Soils; grandmother, Mable Jean Melvin; two siblings, Darius Burden and Laurissa Soils; nieces, nephews, and in-laws, Braylin Poindexter, Zelda Oakley, Bryson Burden, J.P. Oakley, Amy Pence, Ryan Oakley, and Sam Oakley.
