Clyde Edgar Goins Jr.  was born December 10, 1954, to the late Clyde Sr. and Lubbie Goins.  He departed this life on December 31, 2021, at his home in Sanford, NC.

Clyde Jr., attended Northwood High School in Pittsboro, NC and later joined the United States Marine Corps.  He was ranked E4 Corporal, until he was honorably discharged.

He was employed as a Manager for Harris Teeter in Chapel Hill, NC for many years.

Clyde Jr. was inspired to start his own business and be his own boss.  He purchased trucks and became the owner and operator of Clyde Goins Trucking Company.  He loved his business and was very successful. 

Clyde Jr. was preceded in death by his parents Cyde Goins Sr, and Lubbie Goins, three nephews, Adell (Dee) Alston, Roderick Goldston, Prentice Goldston, and his oldest sister, Shirley Goins.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Regina Atkins Wilson (Marcus); two sons, Mario Goins and Clyde Goins III (Tiera); two sisters, Gladys Goins and Eunice Allen; six nieces, Jacque Green, Loleta McCrimmon (Jeffrey), Tabatha Atkins Goldston (Rodney), Tonya Flowers (Derrick), Turkessa Greene (Bobby), and Jennifer Johnson (LaScottie); two nephews, Jeffrey Atkins Jr. (Ursula) and Luke Goins; nine grandchildren:  Malik Goins, Rhyan Lucas, M’Niah Goins, Mario Goins Jr., Destiny Goins, Christian Goins, Trinity Goins, Tyrell Goins and India Cox; a special friend, Cherry Hackney; three committed caregivers, Malik Goins,  Melissa Harvey and Rodney Goldston. He also leaves a host of aunts, uncles, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends.
