Mr. Clarence Edwards DeGraffenreidt, "Hook Man", age 81, of 780 Mitchell Chapel Church Road, Pittsboro, NC, entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Siler City Center, Siler City, NC.

Clarence Edwards DeGraffenreidt was born August 19, 1944, to William French and Willie Tamer Fearrington.  He was raised by Luther Fearrington.  He was educated in the Chatham County School System and graduated from Horton High School in 1962.  Clarence went in to graduate from Raleigh Truck Driving School.  He continued driving trucks for the next 45 years.  Special thanks to his stepfather for showing him his gifts for driving trucks.  He was an active Sunday School teacher and usher for many years at Mitchell Chapel AME Zion Church.  Clarence continued to share his love of God through those he would meet and be willing to listen.

Clarence made it clearly known that the love of his life was his wife, Zena Mae McIver-Degraffenreidt.  They celebrated their love and marriage for each other for 59 years.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Zena Mae DeGraffenreidt; along with their daughter, Yolanda DeGraffenreidt (Barry); one granddaughter, Vanessa Brown (Eldon); two great-grandkids, Nariko and Eleah Brown; one sister, Josephine Fearrington of Pittsboro; one brother, Ralph French (and family); one aunt, Christine DeGraffenreidt; one sister-in-law, Marggie Alston, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
