Christopher Andrea Tate

Mr. Christopher Andrea Tate, age 57 of Chapel Hill, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at Genesis Siler City Center in Siler City, North Carolina.

Christopher Andrea Tate, was born on February 11, 1966, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina at Memorial Hospital to the late George Tate Jr. and Esther Williams Tate.

Chris was educated in the Chapel Hill Public Schools System and a graduate of Chapel Hill High School.  After graduating he became an apprentice brick mason and briefly worked at UNC Hospitals. He did construction work and worked various jobs in and around Chapel Hill.

Chris loved the outdoors, such as hunting. He was an avid fisherman and loved to fish.

Chris is the father of three children, Terrance, Krystal, and Sandy.

Chris will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric Travis Tate.

He leaves many cherished memories to his brother, Jeffery Dwayne Tate (Ann); several nephews, Will, T.J. Carlton, and Patrick; one niece, Erica; and a beloved aunt, Shirley Purdie, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
