Ms. Chriscal Lysha Quick was born to the late Vera Johnson Quick and James Quick and the late Larry McIver. She transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, January 20, 2023, at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, NC.
Chriscal was affectionately known to family and friends as “Toot”.
Chriscal was a military child and completed her education by graduating from the Altus Oklahoma High School, Altus Oklahoma. She would return to Sanford with her parents and siblings where she would join the workforce.
Chriscal was employed with local businesses, A & P, Piggly Wiggly and Static Control and other places before her health slowly declined and she could not continue to work. She eventually signed herself into the Laurels of Chatham where she lived out her remaining years.
Chriscal aka “Toot” was the most affectionate and compassionate person one could ever meet. Although she did not have any children, she was a mother and role model to her nieces and nephews. As a child of a military family, she had the opportunities and experiences to live in various cities and states.
Chriscal had many favorite past times. She enjoyed playing cards, board games, bingo, hotdog, watching tv game shows, and last but not least she enjoyed running her drink and snack business at the Laurels of Chatham. More than anything Chriscal loved her family and enjoyed planning and attending gatherings whenever she could.
